Suz, and Chris - you know what I did with these shoes ? I actually sized down , as odd as that sounds . It made them snugger and more supportive - and I only sacrificed a tiny bit of length . It made a huge difference in how they felt on my foot . I had the damn things on all day and into the evening - so comfortable .

You always look so cool in your WIWs -- the girl I was always too intimidated to talk to. This one looks so artsy -- maybe the festival influence, lol. I am envious that you can wear such high heels.

Closest I'll get to Topshop is their department at Nordstrom. And they don't even carry Petites at the bricks'n'mortar stores. But I like most of their stuff that isn't skimpy and skanky.

Lovely - great tunic and shoes! I want to pull together a look like that!

You look fantastic.
And I have no love for this silhouette in general, so you must really look extra fantastic.

Outfit looks modern and stylish and your hair is AWESOME!

You look gorgeous in this, Lisa! I am a big fan of this silhouette and am always looking for ways to update it, and you are giving me lots of inspiration here. Love those fab shoes on you! I have the same feelings towards congac like you do - I try to remember that it is useful for book-ending and my cognac bag gets worn much more in the summer.

I like your tunic, and think it looks good over the pants, but I'm already a fan of this silhouette. The sleeves and pockets are nice.
Have a good bike ride and happy Canada Day!

Love! Everything! I've been a fan of black and cognac for quite a while. I think it helps make black less severe and comfortable, and classic at the same time. This whole dress or mini dress over cropped pants and jeans is something I need to start trying on. I'm not sure I can pull it off but I want to see how it feels.

Lisa - You look fantastic in the dress over jeans. The shoes are fantastic and I adore the contrast with cognac heel. You've earned a KILLER from Angie, so what else can I say - but I agree!

VERY happy you leveled with your stylist. She is a professional. Stick with her!

Great tunic! I never would have thought that cropped flares would be an option with that kind of top. You look so fashion forward! I'd love to copy but I think I'd need an edgier hair style. You look awesome!

Wow ! Thank you all for the tunic/jeans love! I felt so comfortable yet polished and modern in it that I wore it out again in the evening for a drink and a snack on a patio with DH - celebrating the start of our long weekend. I think I may be looking for more of this kind of top/dress and also think I've found my new "going-out outfit" look. I was getting SO sick of my fall-back EF long silk black sleeveless tunic/shredded white skinnies look that I wear to every single evening out .....

I think UO has this in other colours, but they look a little dodgy...

Bag: I got a really inexpensive option because I'm still not sure how often I will use one.

It's leather but unlined, and that sort of "hard" leather if you know what I mean, but it works for this shape of bag. It's just big enough for wallet, sunglasses, a small cosmetics case, keys, phone.

I like it . Do you have a Zara in Kingston? I've ordered from them once or twice, but never know what I'm looking at half the time (on their site) - haha.

Love this look! I am going to try to copy, hope you don't mind. I have been looking for shoes like that, but the heel looks like it might be a little high for me. I know what you mean about the peep toe. I don't want to have too much toe showing, it just looks weird to me in that style.

Love it! Especially the shoes. I will probably try to copy it, except with navy instead of black.

Fabulous! I think you are right that the cropped pants look more current than leggings.
You have given me a sudden need for cognac accessories!

You look awesome! Love this look on you.

You are such a cool lady! I walk into UO and see nothing for this 45 year old (but desperately trying get my 13 year old DD to wear anything other than basketball shorts). Honestly I think I would walk right by this tunic (having no imagination). But now I'm inspired to go and try "your outfit" and have a look around with different eyes.
Can relate to the "festival hair"- my daughter came home from sleep away camp on the coast with the same French braids she left in!

I like this look a lot Lisa. Suits you well. And I really do like how your hair is looking. The overall look here is really well put together but not contrived. You look like a woman who knows her stuff.

A cognac bucket bag is my favourite bag for summer - it just works with everything (especially black and white). I really like cognac for you now with your hair colour. I like how your stylist has tweaked it - it looks even better than before.

WOW!

Note to self: Copy Copy Quick.

Looks really good.love the shoes.
