Thanks for the thumbs up (and the killer, Angie!). I always appreciate seeing other people's finds, particularly when they link to Angie's great posts, so I thought I'd share, too!
Carter: I do think about color, although I think more in terms of respecting my most favorite and flattering palette, rather than "limiting" colors. I do go for the occasional "wild card" color, and I've learned that my butt can wear olive, even if my face can't. Which is good, since olive pairs in such a modern way with cobalt and burgundy!
I also have two palettes -- one for warm and one for cool seasons. In the winter, I favor sapphire/cobalt, burgundy, deepest purple, teal. In warm months, these shades lighten to raspberry or deep pink, turquoise or a strong aqua,
I have the most difficulty with neutrals -- I used to wear lots of black, punctuated with jewel tones (very nineties!). I'm learning that white is a good neutral in warm months, and that I can treat a deep charcoal like "light black." I suspect that I should embrace a deep brown, but that is a seismic change for me. A rich, but cool, brown might give a fresh look to my blues and burgundies.
