Feel like this looked better in my head!

Hi all. Headed over to a friend's house today for a little get together with the girls. I wanted to try pairing my mustard jeans with navy but I'm not entirely sure this works. Thoughts? And if it does work, which is best?
1. Shirt tucked (1 & 2) or untucked (3)?
2. Jeans rolled (2) or full-length (1 & 3)?

Bonus shot of my sweetie's Christmas gift in 3 - my new handbag! I needed one in this color.

I like #2 the most; the belt adds a touch of adhesion to the blues on top and the bright on the bottom.

Well, being Team RATE I like 3 best, but all are fantastic. I can't imagine how this looked better in your head - it looks perfect to me!

Darn, now I want mustard jeans! It looks great in all 3 variations but I think I like #1 or #2 because I like the belt showing.

Wonder if you'd mind sharing where you got the jeans in that color?

#2 is my favorite, but #1 would be great too if it's too chilly for exposed ankles. You look great.

WHat are you talking about? It looks great! I prefer number 1 but I think all 3 are very nice. The colours work well together and the styling is spot on.

All three versions of this look fantastic Christy - seriously! I have a personal preference for version #3 but I don't think you can go wrong with any of these. As Suz mentioned, maybe it's just a bit out of your comfort zone in terms of colour mix? How did you feel in the outfit as the day wore on?

Fresh and Preppy... lovely colours & prints. But... something seems off in the proportions, comparing to your usual WIW's. I think it's the blazer. Try it with a more cropped topper such as a cropped cardi, or a slightly longer option. If longer, do it soft, drapey and in a neutral colour like your purse's?
Don't get me wrong, it is super nice as is. It's just b/c you say you feel something is off.

Thanks all! I went with #2 - tucked shirt but rolled jeans (sorry Angie!)...not too cold around here, but I did wish I'd thrown on a jacket with the rain! I decided I liked the belt with these shoes, but untucked would have worked as well. Suz and Shannon - you hit the nail on the head. I think I'm always a bit uncomfortable outside of my typical neutrals!

The jeans are from Target - nothing fancy. Went a couple sizes up - they are supposed to be skinnies, but these are about 2 sizes too "big". They are super comfortable and the red jeans I posted a while back are the same.

Are you kidding me? I love the combo of the mustard jeans with the navy checks! I like the tucked in version the best. And your new bag is fab-you-lous!
