Ok, wearing an orange striped jacket yesterday and the addition of those fab heeled Topshop booties seems to have affected my brain. I spotted this mod top in Anthro yesterday and had to bring it home to try it out. It's a departure for me in color and style, but is it JFE? It's not cheap, so it needs to be in the killer range if I'm going to keep it. I kind of love it, and it even works over the black turtleneck I was wearing yesterday (timely with Angie's post!).
I also got these faux leather/ponte moto pants which fit and flatter me better than any leather or faux leather black pants/leggings I have tried on. The only possible drawback is that they are a cropped length on me -- however, I only envision wearing them with high-vamped booties anyway, and I don't mind at all how this length looks with this height of bootie. In fact, I think it looks more intentional and sleek without the pants scrunching around my ankles. I've tried them on with refined heeled booties and stompy moto boots, and both seem to work well. I'm including dressing room photos so you can see the full length fit. The creases at the crotch are not from tightness at all -- I get them on most pants, and I think they show less in person than they do in the photos. I would probably wear these with tops that hide that anyway. The fabric is really nice -- I had to check the tag to tell whether it was real leather or not. Nice detailing on the sides of the legs, and the ponte back means no baggy butt stretching out!
Ignore my lack of makeup in the home photos -- haven't put it on yet.
So, what do you think? Keepers or no?
