Feedback needed on Kooples dress!

It's here! I'll just say that it fits (amazingly, since I so rarely get dress size right)and leave any other comments to you. I'm including a picture of a funny shoulder detail that was not apparent in the stock photos - it's a fold that kind of drapes over but doesn't create any extra volume.

This needs to be a 10 for the price. It also needs to be flattering, versatile, a bit edgy, and not just another LBD.

Yay or nay and why? TIA!

Flattering? Check. Versatile? Check. Edgy? Double check. Looks so good with that new haircut, too. (And isn't it nice to be short sometimes when it means that a dress will actually fit like a dress, instead of barely covering your underwear, as it does on the model?) Oh--and those are killer shoes.

Wow , I was so in the weeds on this one, relying too much on the model photo! Great length on you. I agree always need sit- down test for any potential wardrobe malfunction related to the way these straight dresses , plus the sheer stripe, might potentially behave, but in this photo you look fantastic.

The length is much better on you than the model. I like it, I think it is flattering and edgy. Since you mentioned it does the shoulder detail bother you? As for versatile you might want to try styling it. It is a statement dress and IMO looks best just like you have it on with those shoes, but show us how else you might want to wear it.

Stunning Una!! Perfect fit, elegant but edgy. Sounds like material and style would work for seasons. Great neckline, interesting but dateless details, great sleeve length - in other words - the mother of all hewi cocktail dresses. Definitely a 10+ imho. I think this could be very versatile. Would you consider it as a tunic over leggings? How does the theory lanai regular and leather look over it. I'd be interested to see what your leather biker vest would do with it (okay might be a bust but curious) I think you could change the shoes and accessories and take the dressy down for summer. What would a denim jacket do? Also I'd like to see it with black tights and boots/booties. I think it's closet play time, this could be a big winner!! Looks incredible with the shoes - what kind of bag were you planning on wearing with it? Anyway, I agree if it passes the sit test - but remember worst case add tights and you are good to go but slightly less dramatic/sheer black hose might also work if it's a tad short. Fabulous!!

I imagined this would be killer gorgeous on you! The length is perfect for the events you plan to wear them IMO, when you stand that is. If it clears the sit down test ... Then a big fat YAY! :).

I agree with all the above. This looks fabulous and if it passes the sit test would be well worth the cost. I like the shoulder detail. I'm glad you gave us a close up because it doesn't show up on the model or your other pics!

Great dress! I'm kind of shocked on how much longer it is on you than the model (even knowing your height). This length looks much better to me and I really like it on you. It's interesting, fun, and I think it will have some longevity.

If it passes the sit down test, it looks very Una and I vote "keep". Would you need to style it more casually to wear to Sundance? I like the idea of trying it over your leather leggings as Diana suggests for a different look.

Here's the deal - this dress is a nice substantial fabric with great drape. Comfortable and easy to wear. DH loved it. I still have to do the sit-down test and that willl matter. The shoulder detail does not bother me - it's kind of a nice detail as long as no one sees any IT emphasis. I am inclined to keep if I can sit in it.

Angie, as far as length, you know I don't do bodycon... I feel like being a shortie wearing volume, a shorter length is what makes a sacky style JFE for me. Am I wrong? Also, this is NOT a dress for work - it's specifically for parties and events (a friend's award ceremony being the first, then a holiday party). Don't know if that makes a difference. I trust your judgment completely, so if it's too risque or no longer au courant, please don't hesitate to say so!

When I have time I'll post pics with leg coverage and more shoe options.
