While I'm debating jackets, I wanted to post about my favorite sweaters from this year's sale. I haven't seen many of these discussed on this site, but I've tried them all on and will likely keep most.

Seeing them all together makes me realize just how comfortable I am with the "updated classic" look (with a bit of "French-girl thrown in). It also underscores to me I'm on the right track with my jacket selections (in another post). Seeing them collected all in one place makes me realize I'm also most drawn to graphic or neutral toppers that are slightly luxe and pair easily with denim or black bottoms. In other words, I'm not breaking out of my comfort zone much here but all feel like worthy updates that will see a lot of wear.

1. Nic + Zoe Sweater Jacket. I love the lumberjack vibe but that it's in a sleeker silhouette. So easy. Sadly, it looks like it's sold out.
2. Kate Spade Tassel Pullover. Another classic with a twist. I've been looking forever for an ivory, fisherman-type sweater but this is much less bulky and the tassels at the sleeve and hem are really cute. I was between a M and and L and I sized up for ease.
3. La Vie Rebecca Taylor Stripe Cotton & Wool Pullover. More of a fall/spring sweater because of the cotton. A little boxy but it drapes well. Looks really cute with some of the cropped denim styles out now. BTW, I first went for the Nordstrom Signature Striped Hoodie but that one read more "suburban mom" this had a more youthful, French-girl vibe.
4. Equipment Jenny Stripe Cashmere Pullover. I love this sweater but I'm still trying hard to make it work. The M I ordered fit TTS but the gold buttons on the side are distracting and focus on the middle, which I don't need. I stalked the listing and finally found a L pop back, so I'm going to see if sizing up helps. Otherwise it's going back.
5. Halogen Ribbed Cashmere Sweater. Cozy, graphic, kind of a '70s cowl neck. Looks great with simple leggings and booties. Hoping it will hold up because it's almost ethereal soft.
6. Equipment Dorothy Pullover. A great classic which will replace an old Vince olive pullover. The V isn't too low. TTS is slouchy enough, but I was tempted to size down, as the sleeves are really long. Will be a great canvas for adding scarves, which I also love. Also comes in navy.
7. Nordstrom Signature Lace-Back Plaid Top. Not a sweater but my biggest surprise and something worth trying if it appeals to you. The back is all black lace. Another cool "French-girl" top.
