April, Inge, Angie et al, I took the plunge and ordered from Favorite Daughter and the experience has been positive, which I wanted to share. I chose the Valentina Shortie Bootcut Woodside jean (I'm 5'4"). The quality is excellent and the fabric very nice. Feels like 100% cotton, though it does have 2% elastine. Color is a clean, rich medium wash with minimal to no whiskering. Bootcut is moderate, not overwhelming, and the fit is very flattering. Slim but not skinny. I ordered my normal size (27) but went back for a size 28 for a looser fit. Customer service was helpful. Two hits but neither a knock-out for me: Rise is slightly higher than I'd like -- website says 11.5" but I find it closer to 12" -- and I don't love the logo embroidered on the back. But, I can live with both. They're pricey but after two years of looking, these feel FAB on!! Brand is now at Nodstrom. Thanks for your feedback and interest.
