Favorite brand of 2" pump (black), comfy?

I'm shopping for some & want some kind of detail, textrue or otherwise. I just found some KILLER Donald Pliner's but they were like $285 or something like that. Can't find a pic on-line & didn't have time to try on but I'm thinking they are EXACTLY what I want (minus the price).

I tried some Bandalino's from Zappo's but my problem is quality wise I'm hooked on the comfort & style of my Aquatalia snake pumps and I would be ok spending that much $150'ish but $285 seems steep.

Anyone have brands or something that they absolutely LOVE? I want 2" pump, black, with some character, detail, or texture to them. Comfort is of the essence!

I may break & get the DP's if they are as comfy as I'm thinking they will be but having a tough time on the spend....

Let me know if you have anything worth taking a look at.

I have never heard of the brand Aquatalia. Looked at them on Zappos and they look very stylish. I have worn Sofft and Born, is the comfort level similar to those?

My Aquatalia's are SUPER comfy! Comparable to a Born I would say. I have not worn Soft before. The snake one's did run small though, had to size up on them & so did a friend of mine that ordered. I am all over that brand when they come out with other styles! They almost have this like quilted interior lining that makes them so comfy also & the sole is rubber so it's so soft & quiet to walk in.

Thank you so much for the info. They sound wonderful and I was hoping they would have a rubber sole. One other question...do you know of any stores that carry the brand? Would love to try some on next time I am in a large city like Chicago.

I don't know of any stores that carry the brand myself. If you haven't tried zappo's before on-line shopping doesn't get any easier than that (returns included & no shipping).

The brands of pumps that I find to be the most comfortable (and I do wear mine alllll day!) are Franco Sarto, Circa Joan & David, Bandolino, and then all of the "comfort" lines: Naturalizer, Lifestyle, Clarks, etc.

I was just eying these over at Piperlime yesterday; they were having a one-day 20% off pumps sale but I didn't order them in time. The price is reasonable anyway, and I love the kilt detailing on the toe.

Frankly, just looking at it, the 3-inch doesn't look radically higher than a 2-inch heel. Bandolino has a nice low curve to them so wearing a 3-inch of theirs is pretty easy. As a comparison, look at the rise on these Nine West shoes; they are a 1/2-inch more, but there a platform too. Still, they look like teeteringly-high compared to the Bandolinos. (I still want these Nine West ones, of course.)

Thanks Kristin! The Bandalino's are cute & have the detail I'm looking for but I've learned over the yr's (and lot's of bad purchases) that I need to stick to my guns on the 2" heel. Nine West black are too plain jane for me. The red Franco's LOL - I've been thinking the same thing myself lately on needing a pair! I love the elastic on those, that's what my Aquatalia's have & it's nice! It's the perfect red for me also!! Tahari's are too high & open for me also. Thanks a bunch though, gives me more brands & PiperLime to check out as well! If the DP's are like my other DP's once I try them I will be hooked & it will be a done decision.....time will tell!! They are GORGEOUSLY simple with just enough detail. Wish I could find a pick on-line!!

Aerosoles are very comfortable. I walked a mile and a half in a pair of three inch heels of theirs and had no issues.

I also highly recommend Tsubo. They tend to come in trendier, modern styles, not the "classic" pump look, but they are wonderfully comfortable.

Ok, whew! I feel so much better!! I had a return at BR today so slipped in my other store & tried the DP's. Very comfy but something just didn't make them feel quite as "sexy" to me & they almost felt too dressed up & covered up if that makes any sense at all. They were very cute but they just weren't it. Thank goodness!!

I'm eye'ing these at Zappo's that I just found: http://www.zappos.com/product/7500650/color/72 I purchased a pair of Brown embossed Ecco pumps on clearance a week or 2 ago for a little over $20 & they were SUPER comfy!! Those I got in a 39 (I typically wear 8 1/2 or 9). Do all Ecco's run pretty true to size? I'm excited cuz these are perfect style for me but yet a bit on the casual side so fits my style pretty well! Oh, I hope they are the one's!! They are GORGEOUS in Cognac also!!

Cedar, thanks for the note on the Tsubo's also! I will watch for that brand. Zappo's only had 1 style in a black pump but it has a 2 1/2" heel.

JG, I am not sure if you are open to peep-toe styles, but I wanted to point out that these were so comfy for my feet that I duplicated them in both off white and black patent. They are on sale for about $55 at the Clarks store (more expensive online, unfortunately) in either matte or black patent.

Nothing beats Cydwoq Vintage for me for cute and comfortable heels (emphasis on COMFORTABLE)!! Unfortunately, the price is high, but they're handmade, so I really think they're worth it. The first time I bought a pair of Cydwoqs, I thought I was gonna die, but then they were so great, it was easier to write the check the second time around.

Well, I ordered the Ecco's last night & with Zappo's VIP they came today UPS already!! Can you believe that? That could be very addictive. Anyway, I think I have a winner!!! SUPER COMFY, perfect heel height, sizing is right on, just the right pointy toe for me, color is great, not too shiny, and just a tiny tiny slice of toe cleavage (lol)!

Thanks everyone!! Now, if I could have the success with the cognac boots....that will be another thread later...
