Favorite Books On Style

Khris (chewyspaghetti) started a post yesterday with an inquiry about the LUCKY GUIDE TO MASTERING ANY STYLE. It was interesting to read everyone's opinions, so I decided to just come right out and ask: What are YOUR favorite books on style? Which ones do you refer to often?

My favorites (and I DO own them) are:

The LUCKY SHOPPING MANUAL
The LUCKY GUIDE TO MASTERING ANY STYLE
Tim Gunn's GUIDE TO STYLE
Trinny and Susannah's WHAT NOT TO WEAR
Trinny and Susannah's THE BODY SHAPE BIBLE
Emily Cho's IT'S YOU - this book is from the 80s - but she was the first REAL stylist!
Kendall Farrs' POCKET STYLIST and STYLE EVOLUTION- my personal favorites
InStyle's INSTANT STYLE

Hands-down favorite: Kendall Farr's STYLE EVOLUTION.
Number two: Tim Gunn's GUIDE TO STYLE

hey Khris.

I think that's Charla Krupp's book. I borrowed it from a friend, read it and was not overly impressed. Especially about her Botox recommendations. Perish the thought!

Another silly book is Forever Cool, which provides SOME comic relief with the before and afters. All the befores are frowning, all the afters, you guessed it, are smiling.!

I just received Lloyd Boston's Before You Put That On & The Style Checklist and I have to say I'm liking them more than my Lucky guides. Be warned Boston's books don't offer a lot of visual candy...but the ideas and outfits combos have me hooked.

Thanks Barbara and Chewy and others for the recommendations
@Barbara I went to my library and picked up the Gunn and Farr books you suggested and found a whole new section at my library. A couple of others I found which seem really good are
Gok Wan Work Your Wardrobe
and Dress to Express Tracy McWilliams
I also picked up a little gem which I know I"m going to love
Who What Wear by Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power - all about how to incorporate runway style and celebrity style to real life ...includes vintage and thrift shopping....I"m going to have a great weekend reading this stuff.

Stacy London &Clinton Kelly have a great book on style and he just put out a good (and funny)book called 'oh no, she didn't' not much as far as new info goes, but its still a great read....hopefully no one will see themselves in his examples! lol....

I would own about a million if I didn't have the tendency to go to Barnes and Noble, read the one section of a book that applies to me and then put it back. So maybe it's especially odd that all my favorite fashion books are the kind that have a bunch of individual sections that each apply to different body shapes, styles, complexions etc.
The books I love and own are:
Body Shape Bible by Trinny and Susannah
In Style: Secrets of Style
Color Me Confident by Veronique Henderson and Pat Henshaw

A book I love but don't own is:
The Science of Sexy by Bradley Bayou

I'm definitely going to be peeking into "The NEW secrets of style" at B&N, just to see what's changed.
