K/R boots - same thread, now with picture!

ETA picture of me looking tired and not holding in my abs properly, but with the boots in the "normal" stance. Also a pic of WIW yesterday and didn't feel all that fab in - all old items except for the suede boots.

Okay, I returned a boatload of items recently, including the tragic Eject pumps. But I found these two items at Nordstrom - faux suede leggings, which are FAB:

and some crazy-RATE boots that arrived yesterday. The boots are unbelievably comfortable on my feet, even though a little heavy. I wish I had time to take a picture of them on me - I will do it at home. The cuff can be worn up like a normal boot or manipulated into different looks, which I love. Of course, they ARE another pair of black/grey boots, but very different from anything else I own, and I'm about to consign a different pair.

How would you wear the suede leggings? Sorry, they kind of bring up memories of bad 90's leisure suits.

Una considering boots?? I could not click fast enough... but where are they? I need to oggle, stat!

I like the idea of suede leggings with some leather up top. As long as they don't read like velvet... something about velvet leggings makes me think of little toddlers in puffy Christmas outfits.

The leggings are not velvety or thick - they are more suede-like but very soft. I've already worn them twice with tunics and OTK boots.

I would wear the leggings with a sweater dress and boots.

I think they might work, the suede leggings. Like skinnies with a little more texture? The boots are fun, please keep. One can't have too many comfy fab boots.

Anya, thanks! They are more like footless tights with more texture. Looks like I'll have to do a multi-tasking outfit post with leggings and boots!

OMG the boots! So awesome -- totally want to see them in an outfit. I don't need any more boots but gosh, these are so tempting...

I'm wearing them in office as a test run with black tights and my purple Eliza J. dress. They are crazy comfortable for my particular feet (high arches and wide). And I like a little heft to my boots, which these have. Read the raving reviews of them - that's what pushed me over the edge!

Oh fooey, went to order and then the black were out of my size as I tried to order... ah well!

They're on Amazon, Zappos and endless too, though I think Nordstrom had the best price...

Janet has these boot too. Angie said they didn't work for a lot of her clients but they are super cool. Looking forward to seeIng the leggings styled in a nonleisuresuit way.

I remember drooling over those... Oh MAN, I can't wait to see these on you! Very excited to see how they work for your slim calves and ankles, since I initially wrote these off seeing them online because I'd assumed they would create cankles. I want to see all the different "modes" they have, too.

I vote a definite keep on the leggings, and a tentative keep on the boots. No final answer until we see you in those beauts!

Those boots look absolutely amazing Una! I can already picture them on you. They look like the have attached spats! So COOL. I think leggings are like hose for you. I can't imagine you wearing a *wrong* pair. Plus you weren't asking us what we thought of the leggings were you, just telling us they're awesome.

I guess we should see you in the boots like Rae says before we command you to sell all you own to purchase them, if neccessary!

I've read all the reviews and looked at every picture of them I could find online... if I spent *all* by birthday money on these, I could get the brown version for $40 out of my own pocket. OH, the agony! On the edge of my seat to see them on you... if they can convert from office to the swap meet and back again, it might be worth it.

I remember those boots--they were heavily featured in the NAS, if I remember correctly. Anyway, they seem very UWP/Una to me! I think the leggings would be fab too.

Yaaaay, pics! I have been stupidly sitting here refreshing the other thread all night, lol.

I really like those on you, Una! They add some volume to the lower leg, which I think works well to "ground" the look, esp. with the bright color up top. HOT boots in general. I'm so torn on whether to try them - I have narrow-ish medium feet, but I have your high arches... and I've had difficult time finding boots with arches, interestingly. And then there's the choice of black or brown... oy!

As for pic 2 - maybe a shorter jacket and shorter boots would fix this up? The boots compete with the hem a little, and I guess I just prefer a high waist in a midi.

Rae, these boots are so you, especially with the convertible factor... I didn't see many complaints about width in the reviews, only Angie and Janet's comments about fit here. I do not have really fussy feet, just hard to fit. It is worth a try IMHO, and I would go for black as you have brown boots and these can also pass for grey with the inside cuff down.

Well, I had two gift cards to Piperlime, and it seems sizes are selling out, so I decided to give them a try. Free return shipping and no harm done if they don't work. The GCs didn't cover it all, but I can apply some of my sales profit to them. Fingers crossed!
