Here are some try-outs with the AT faux leather waist pleated tapered pant.
1-2 with jacket and I think first is with an ancient low pump I've saved then with the new Vaneli pump and in one pic have shortened the hem a bit.
4 showing more tailored version with turtleneck and oxford. I might try my slimmer oxfords.
5 is with a casual studded sweatshirt and lug monkstrap shoes.
# 2-3 are Vaneli "magic pumps"--my find of the season, and I got them the day of the gala! They are so comfortable and I can walk in them! Still are special-occasion shoes, but the best I've had. (Don't laugh since they are still not super-girlie pumps). Something about the shape of the heel, which you can see is a block heel that's narrow in front-to-back dimension, yet is so stable.
I just tossed on a gray belt because I need a longer length for the low rise; a black belt would give me more legline.
Here's my dilemma: I have a "sugar eye" for these tapered pants to be worn long, not as ankle pants, on me and especially with the fullness of the pleats.
Can't this just be my style?
I know there are strong feelings on pant lengths (since I've got my own!) but would look forward to pro & con discussions of how I might make the tapered-with-break/scrunch work for me --or, if just a hair shorter is better how do you work it with different shoes- my dilemma is I want to wear higher and lower vamps.
