I went shopping today with a friend at the Bellevue Nordstrom. (My previous in-store shopping was a short session downtown Seattle at the flagship store.)
We pored over the offerings, and my friend ended up getting only some skin care from the sale, plus some pants and a hat that weren't on sale.
Of course, I found things I wasn't looking for! LOL! I came home with a faux fur jacket by Save the Duck, which was not on my radar. I really like it and think it's probably a keeper. Also a cashmere scarf by Nordstrom in a gorgeous ombre of off-white to dusty light pink. Perfect for travel.
I bought the Simple Human makeup mirror I had on my wishlist. I am not sure I'll keep it. The magnification (5x) is pretty big, and there is no non-magnification side or setting. The light is excellent, and I like the auto on-off feature.
Photo 1 shows my shopping outfit: long denim shorts (Pilcro), snake print mesh tee and matching wool blend cardi (AllSaints), black & brown mixed metal studded belt (Suzi Roher), black cowboy boots, off-white crossbody bag (Minor History). I received several compliments from SAs. One kept going on about what I was wearing, and I was kind of embarrassed. My friend is such a stylish, classy dresser herself, and I felt uncomfortably singled out. I did say something about how stylish my friend is, and the SA agreed.
Photos 2-4: Faux fur bomber jacket (Save the Duck). There is a tag on it that announces very clearly, "reversible," and yet I was so focused on the faux fur that I didn't notice the reversible feature until a sales associate pointed it out to me, after I had bought it! The color is called brown-black, and I like it. There was a light gray one which, surprisingly, I didn't like nearly as much when I tried it on. I can see wearing this jacket dressed up and down, and it will be very warm.
I look forward to hearing any thoughts you have.
