This year I got four fashion related gifts that make my heart happy that I thought it would be fun to share.

1. My grandfather has a tradition of giving all of the women in the family jewelry. I remember when I was little, that he included me. In those days the were only two women and me, so the jewelry was higher end - one year there was a pearl necklace and another time I got tiny gold earrings with diamond chips in them. As the family has grown, my grandpa just keeps his tradition up, but has had to lower the price point (of course) and he always makes it a big deal when one of the girls gets old enough to "move up" to the ladies gifts! This year he out did himself and we each had two necklaces and a bracelet to open. This necklace was my favorite of the three and is something that I will enjoy wearing and remembering his sweet generosity!

2. My grandmother (married to the above grandfather) died about five years ago and we always planned to have some of her jewelry made into bracelets for all of the women in the family. As I mentioned, my grandpa like to buy jewelry so she had lots of it! A lot of it was not really what any of us would wear as-is, so I took it to someone who makes jewelry and asked her to create a piece for each of us. I described the tastes and personalities of the different ones, and had divided things up by colors that seemed to match up to each lady. I was so pleased with the results, and this photo is of my bracelet. I will think of my sweet grandma every time I wear it.

3. I was given some Amazon gift cards, so I spent them on this pair of shoes. I have been looking for this style in a flat shoe, but it really does my legs no favors. I decided to try it in a wedge and I think that works much better for me! Here is a link to them on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/produ.....ge_o04_s00

4. My boss again surprised me with a wonderful handbag (and has once again proven that she has excellent taste)! This one is a Furla that came in its own white, satin lined bag! It is black, and fills a wardrobe hole for me - I didn't have anything this simple and neutral that wasn't super casual - so it is perfect!
