Fashion tape is a great thing to have around. Has many uses, I found some at a drug store a while back. Use it mostly to temporarly hold up sleeves that are too long, and to hide bra straps at shoulders. Also hold up part tucks on thinner tops. do you use it? what brand?

I've never used it. I always assumed that it would not retain its stickiness for an entire day. Does it?

When I was working, I always kept it in my desk for emergencies (like stepping on a hem and ripping out the stitching.)

My most common use besides emergencies is to close the between-button gap over the bust on button-front woven shirts.

I don't remember what brand I have, but I use it frequently to close necklines on wrap style tops and dresses.

Just remember to test it for removeabiliy. I used some to attach a skinny belt to a polyester dress with and it remained firmly attached to the dress. It took soaking in prot remover and a lot of work to get the residue off. So always test the fabric!

I have the Hollywood brand one in the little tin. It’s very useful for things like fixing gaping necklines when you bend over or collars that won’t stay flat, etc. I’ve found it works better if you stick fabric to fabric rather than skin, because sweat or oil can loosen it. I usually stick things to my bra, which works pretty well.

Not gonna lie, I’ve used scotch tape in a pinch. (Or lab tape.). It doesn’t work that well - real fashion tape is much better!

For fixing things like gaping button plackets or securing wrap tops I think a good old safety pin works best. I always keep a couple on my key ring.

Don’t get the Nordstrom brand. I used it for a wedding, simply to secure a fabric belt to itself, failed miserably.

I have heard great things about fashion tape. I use scotch tape or even duck tape. (hides under a rock)

So interesting to hear real-life uses of this tape. I associate it, spray tans, and certain oils with beauty paegents, probably because the first time I heard of the tape was when my sister was in a paegent and contestants used it to position their bikini bottoms on their butts just so.

I do use fashion tape in a pinch. Works very well. Before fashion tape, I used duct tape for emergency repairs. It also works extremely well—sometimes too well!

I find it handy to have on hand for quick fixes, but it's not a long-term solution. Any item that requires fashion tape on a regular basis needs either to be fixed permanently or find its way out of my wardrobe.

I've used fashion tape for gaping between buttons. It works pretty well. I don't know the brand--I got it at Target. It can be really handy at times.

This is a staple in DDs dance bag - you could try any dance stores to find some too I don't have a particular brand but have used it in the past for last minute hem issues; it works in a pinch for sure!

I never have but now I think I need some! Although I sort of agree with Jenn that if it needs to be used consistently on something then it is probably too much work.
