Have you noticed how few images there are of people wearing clothes for sale? No fashion shoots.

Oh, that’s terrific. I actually find that more inspiring than traditional model shoots with 18-year-old size 00 models. It makes me feel like the designer might deign to make clothes in styles and sizes my middle-aged, middle-sized self could actually wear! I like how the photographer used color and location.

YES. Very few of the new items online are styled on models. It's not nearly as effective. I like to see clothes on a body. What do you think?

Only retailers like Boden who did their shoots way in advance show the items on models.

Great - love this! It gets mind-numbing to look at picture after picture of scowling 18 year olds wearing these clothes. Ok - maybe I'm over-generalizing, but I want to see clothes on the average body, not the "ideal" body.

What a great shoot! I hope more designers follow this trend. I agree with Janet - this could sell me more clothes. Looking at clothes on real women and real bodies on YLF certainly does!

Great fashion shoot! I hope all the fall fashion won't be off models When I looked at Nordstrom's used clothes site, I didn't like it because there were no models to see how things fit and hang.

I think that in the absence of even grim 18 year old models, retailers should provide more thorough descriptions of items. Even if it’s their WFH employees taking selfies and providing personal input. That might in fact be better than models.

So agree on "more thorough description" - it's often labeled "TBD", "imported" or "cotton blend" in fabrics ( which is not enough info to make a decision when shopping on-line ).
@UmmLila - I like your the idea of employees making selfies with personal input - would work for me .
That fashion shoot is fabulous.

Backing the idea of taking selfies, since I don't think this would be too difficult to implement. Many brands already link to Instagram posts of people wearing their clothes in a widget at the bottom of each product page (encouraging you to use a particular hashtag so it appears in the carousel). Perhaps they could include that carousel as part of the actual product pictures instead?

Oh Ummlila I love that idea so much!

I find in general, it looks so awkward seeing any image or media where people aren't social distancing. I could be watching the pivotal scene in "The Notebook" and all I'd be thinking is, six feet apart! SIX FEET APART!!
