I was cleaning my closet and discovered a magazine article I'd clipped a few years ago entitled "Five Things Designers Know That You Should Too." The first style rule - A perfect fit always flatters - really struck me. I've always shopped with a goal in mind and nothing would get in the way of that goal. I was willing to purchase my goal even if it didn't fit.
Well, a month ago I read a blog post from someone who'd attended a YLF gathering. She noted that Angie made fit a top priority. I think that's the first time I realized that my shopping style was really wasting my money.
That being said, my fashion resolution for 2012 is "Buy clothes that fit." And/or factor tailoring into the cost of the garment.
Do you have a fashion resolution for 2012?
