Finally, I have a day without meetings or teaching smack dab in the middle of things. I'm making a trip down to the Vogue Fabrics flagship store in Evanston. 22,000 sq ft. of textile goodness!

I grew up spending literally hours in an old, fabulous fabric store as a child. The smell of the bolts, the sound of pattern book pages turning and shears slicing through silk are very nostalgic for me. I hope to move beyond nostalgia and find some beyond-the-craft-store yard goods for a full skirt, and perhaps a dress or two.

DD is taking her school work with, so we can enjoy a bite of lunch before we return to real life. Wish this fashion hunter bon chance!
