I'm trying to combine some of Angie's advice about how to add 70's flair to my style while participating in the fashion era challenge. I'll let you be the judges of wether I've succeeded or not.
When I looked through my wardrobe pieces and accessories, it became clear that I lack seriously in the fashion era department regardless of any era in question except the present. However, I tried to combine elements I think of as somewhat 70's or timeless in a retro way in this outfit:
- A thin turtleneck (deep navy)
- A wrap dress in black, grey and white
- Nude fishnets
- Earthy brown booties with stacked heel & rounded toes
- Messenger bag in cognac
- Stone trench coat
I realize I could have done more to my hair and with some accessories to enhance the retro feel, but this is what I ended with this time. I like the outfit and I think I could wear it without hesitation these days before it warms up more.
What do you think? How can I improve these outfits?
ETA:
#3 Here's another try:
- A-line denim skirt
- cork sandals
- white hand knit
- yellow silk scarf
I'd wear this without a topper, I guess.
