I was losing light and time on this but also thinking about how dramatically fashion, and the world, changed from the beginning to end of the decade.
#1 early 60's -- my attempt at mod, the purple velvet sheath dress is more winter, and may have paired better with my tall lace up black boots but their foot shape wasn't quite go-go. These silver shoes should technically have a block heel and a squared off toe -- let's pretend. Mint tights, an orange vinyl bag, and experimenting with a geometric graphic silk scarf. Ahem...and a big bun. Also ran out of time to put on the huge false eyelashes. I'm not really feeling ultra pale lipsticks, but gave it a go.
#2 a few years later at Woodstock we check in with the same woman embracing new ideas and naturalism. Gave me a chance to try on my last pair of boot-cuts and discover that they are both too big at the top and too short for any heel -- so passing them on. Platform sandals, a pendant and a peasant blouse -- and Joan Baez hair.
All feedback welcome!
