Fashion Era challenge bonus edition: WI(didn't)W, 70's and 80s.

Thought it would be fun to show you some of my unworn Fashion Era outfits, featuring some actual vintage pieces, including some 80s for Angie. =)

1: 70's boho outfit. The colorful woven fabric belt is actual vintage from the 70's, gifted to me by MIL a while ago. This Liberty for Target blouse is one of the few actual boho style blouses I still own - I was actually considering purging it because the ruffle is awkward but I kind of like it belted and it is back on trend now, so I think I'll keep it for now. Paired with my bootcuts and platform sandals; sorry it's not PPL, Angie! My darker bootcuts are longer but also less boho looking. I would actually wear this outfit when it's warm enough for sandals with a few tweaks - a less ALGO belt and better PPL.

2: 80's power suit. The silk dress is from the 80s. The fit is kind of weird and it wrinkles like crazy so I rarely wear it. The color is awesome though! My fuchsia blazer is modern but it does have puffy, strong shoulders. Imagine my shoes are 3 inches higher!

3: 80's frilly skirt! I have actually owned this skirt since the 80s. (Thanks to Rachy and her prom dress for reminding me of it!) I have absolutely no idea how I can still fit into it - my mom must have done some alteration magic to it at some point. I do not have a bustier style top to wear with this, so some camisoles are going to have to play the "underwear as outerwear" part. Bonus 80s half-up side ponytail!

More '80s FABNESS.

Side ponytail and Ra Ra skirt. DEEEEEEEELicioulsy, '80s. #3 is especially Killer because of the pointy toe pumps and bright pink tank. More authentically '80s. LOVE.

And your boho look in #1 is elegant. You should WEAR that outfit for sure, Diana. Another amazing rendition.

THANK YOU for entertaining me this week. You ROCKED the challenge and all of them were excellent. I have a soft spot for your '20s and '90s renditions, which were my faves. How about you?

The 70's blouse is quite nice on you -- very awesomely period with the belt, but I think you are right, you should try wearing it now with some updates.

You are too cute in the 80's power suit -- although I'm really glad that whole era of corporate dress is pretty much over. The silk dress is a great color on you.

The frilly skirt! (the side ponytail -- flashback to Napoleon Dynamite, lol). Actually with a casual white top and sandals would that be too out of your style-lane to wear in the summer today? The print is pretty cool.

Ha, I knew you'd like the Ra Ra skirt, Angie. I think my 20s outfit was my favorite of the week. It was so much fun to wear!

You looked very happy and comfortable in the '20s rendition. No wonder it had a high happiness factor.

Rabbit, I have actually worn the skirt in an Easter outfit a couple of years ago. I should wear it more often. I actually quite like it.

The side ponytail would have been better (and higher!) if I still had any scrunchies. A regular hair elastic just doesn't give you that 80s lift! I remember sometimes I used to use TWO scrunchies to make it really high.
