I had intended to start this thread tomorrow, but after today's blog post by Angie I thought I'd strike while the iron's hot as it were. I'm using 70's culottes styles for my inspiration and the one's I'm wearing were a pair of self made wide trousers until a few days ago. I decided to chop several inches off them as I wasn't wearing them full length. I plan on styling them in modern ways for 2015, but for now, here's my full on 70's version

I found an image of a vintage Vogue sewing pattern for inspiration and used some earthy tones to keep the theme going. The top which I made about 18 months ago is one I usually wear out, and over jeans, but this time I fully tucked, and added a leopard print scarf tied 70's fashion. Knee high, heeled boots, that have a platform and rounded toe (I nearly purged them a few weeks back) were my chosen footwear. I made my hairstyle go a little shaggier to emulate the likes of Jane Fonda in the film 'Klute', British rock singer Suzi Quatro, and 70's British glam rock group Sweet. Sweet were one of my favourite groups when I first started listening to music at the tender age of 9 so for your delight and delectation is a Youtube rendition of 'Blockbuster' enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNXFtVWB47E
