And now for the more daring exercise: the 80's! This felt much more challenging because it is MY era. I was an 80's girl through and through, and to express my true feelings and images of the decade isn't easy.
I remember: Denim, pegged jeans (customized Levi's 501), Docksides, pointy toe kitten heel pumps, white shirts, mohair sweaters, bomber jackets, big hair, bright pastels and accentuated waists.
#1: my mother and me in 1986: I did sew the outfit myself. Cobalt blue belt, leather tie and peep toe pumps finished the outfit. Hah ha!
#2: me in 1983 and then in 1988: The hair!
#3: My brothers and me in 1989. Pastel yellow florals for the win.
#4-5: my 80's inspired outfit:
Jumpsuit with pegged legs, belted at the waist. I swear, we wore those in the mid 80's. Pearl necklace, high hair (sort of), kitten heel pumps, fuchsia bag and denim jacket.
What do you think? Did I get it right? Will I wear this in public? Probably not
