In reference to my other post about the NAS dilemma, Angie made a wonderful comment about dressing for the body you have now. What if you truly struggle with that body? I lost 75 pounds about 6 years ago to reach my healthy goal weight and kept it off, feeling fabulous the whole time, until about a year ago when a couple of health issues wreaked havoc on my weight. Now I'm 20 pounds heavier and don't like what I see in the mirror. As much as I'd like to think I could take that off, my condition makes it difficult to take off weight - I may have to learn to accept this new body of mine. I'm short (5'1") and currently sitting at a US size 10/12 (I was a 6), and an apple shape.

I'm learning that structured clothing with strong seaming works wonders at "holding things in" and gives me a waist. Other than that, I'm struggling a bit with how to look put together. I love classic clothing (think Chanel) but want to find ways to add some "funk" so I don't look stuffy or boring.

I would welcome all and any advice on how to look fashionable at any size. Maybe learning to dress this body better would help with some self acceptance.

(sorry this is so long)
