I find it a compelling piece of work. Have you ever read Steve Martin's short story, "Cruel Shoes"? Maybe 30 years old now, that story, but it explored the same theme in words.
I am disturbed. The way the model is forced to walk makes her walk like a special needs or disabled person. My niece is special needs. She had a stroke during birth which killed part of her brain. She struggles with a number of things like speech and coordination but she especially has trouble walking. Probably this is what the designer was going for -- toe shoes are often described as crippling as are the consequences of wearing super high heels.
