Started to read the piece. It is interesting to consider points in trend formation and development of fashion from old world tailoring to current pace of fast fashion. Fascinating that the focus was on Italy.
I too have bookmarked it for more in depth studies.
Thank you for providing it.
And it saddens me to think of brain power and various skills that may be lost in this country because of immigration issues. Thank you for doing your part.

That looks interesting - my first thought is Bourdieu's Theory of Taste and the importance of clothing as a social marker - I guess it had a huge impact on me.
Odd fact: for the 5 minutes I actually practiced law I did visas and one of mine (E2) was a woman from a well known Italian fashion family - that at the time I had never heard of, and for the life of me I can't remember who it was!
