How much fun is this?
I leave the venue decision up to others, but I do recommend a pot-luck where each of us bring a finger-food or festive treat that honours our local culture, family traditions or culinary passions. In real life a simple beer and wine selection (obviously featuring international vintages) would be easiest, but would anyone seriously not want to have the option of fun festive cocktails and martinis too?

I'm operating on the assumption that this is not a casual holiday party, since we're all YLFers who would likely relish a chance to flaunt our holiday wear. So I would trot out my cranberry-red cocktail dress and wear it with silver heels, some kind of black lace shawl and a multi-strand pearl necklace. I might add my diamond stud earrings too and would find a great silver clutch.

For starters, I'd make it a holiday party because not all of us celebrate Christmas!

I think it would be wonderful to rent a gorgeous boat or cruise ship and sail across a pretty body of water. We would have world class gourmet chefs prepare a wonderful holiday meal consisting of foods representing all of our cultures and our traditional favorites. Beverages options would be plentiful and would include fancy non-alcoholic and alcoholic options so everyone can have something grand. Fine wines, fresh squeezed juices, fancy sparkling water, the best teas, coffee, and espresso drinks...

What would I wear? I'd probably buy my first LBD... maybe something like this:

I'd also buy my first pair of heels and tower over everyone with my gigantic height.

Maya, high five. My choice is very fancy High Tea at the Claridges Hotel in London, currently at first place for High Tea in the world. We’d have tea with both savoury and sweet delights till the cows come home. They make the best scones I’ve ever tasted and their quiche is heavenly. But the entire High Tea menu is outstanding and they bring you a limitless supply the whole afternoon. You have to book 6 months in advance!

I’d wear a vintage Chanel cocktail frock, lots of pearls and my much coveted red Valentino handbag. Afterwards we’d swing by Covent Garden for a bit of last minute shopping before heading out to West End to see a show.

I love Michelle's idea. I would probably wear my burgundy sparkling dress and I would spring for new heels, topper, and clutch. I haven't wore this dress since college so I think its accessories are due for an upgrade

My fantasy YLF Holiday party would be.....
Boarding the original Venice Simplon - Orient Express in London on an outward journey to Paris. There would be just enough time to dine in the world famous Art Deco dining carriage before embarking on an afternoon shopping at our final destination.

I would love a blacktie event at Brown's Hotel in London (James Bond's hotel of choice). Martinis would be served by exquisitely handsome barman in tuxes. Also invited would be key fashion designers so that we can put our case for longer sleeves (not just cap sleeves), mid heeled shoes, skirts in all lengths and trousers higher in the rise.

My fantasy is an evening champagne and caviar party at Petrossian in NYC. I'll be wearing head-to-toe red Valentino (just trying to keep up with you lovely ladies in Prada and the like). It's an awfully romantic place, so perhaps we should include our better halves. Oh yes, and afterward, let's all go skating at Rockefeller Center!

I never get a chance to really dress up and would *love* to. I don't care where, as long as it is sufficiently fancy to justify really dressing up. I would buy a dress, shoes and clutch for the occasion. I have always loved the look and colors of fitted Nicole Miller dresses, like this one, and would love to have a reason to wear one:

oooh, ooh - this would be SO fun. I would join Rute in a vote for a superb spa. Start the day with yoga, outdoor exercise/horseback riding. Then a deep tissue massage and a spa treatment. Then a wonderful high tea. And a late night dinner. With something red and silky to wear. And since we're fantasizing, I'd be 15 pounds lighter and perfectly toned to carry off this red silky extravagance.

The back of the hair, the shoes, and some zingy new glasses would make this look killer.

Just looking briefly I came across this that I would feel good in for the YLF party at the top of the Space Needle. The dinner tables would be cleared to make room for seating that is more chat friendly and the food would be brought around on trays held up high by wait people, like in the movies.
The Space Needle would be decorated to the hilt with beautiful lights, ice sculptures, and Christmas trees.
Edit: Now I see Angie's place for the party! I like! It's a similar feel as the Space Needle, but better.

Sihaya, I love the sound of an trek, followed by a massage and tea. Nothing is more invigorating than fresh air in your lungs.

San, that dress is amazing! Ice sculptures and butler service is pure decadence.

Wow, you ladies are amazing and have the most fabulous fantasies!!

I would like our party to be in NYC, since I have never been there and it's such a mecca of fashion. I love the idea of a day at the most amazing spa first. Any and all spa treatments we want.

Then into our best dresses and heels for a fancy, yet fun, dinner somewhere in the city, arriving by limo of course.

My pick for an outfit would be fairly simple and comfortable but dressy and sexy. I have this short shift dress with silk and senquins at the bottom that I have never had the courage to wear. I would pair it with some black and silver tights, and since this is a fantasy, my back would be repaired, and I could wear towering platform sandals.
