Our family has been following The Voice for the past year, or a little more, and I love that show. Most reality shows make me anxious because they can be mean, but this one is so uplifting, and the talent is outstanding. I also really love seeing how the contestants and coaches are styled. Most often it is quite theatrical and over the top (especially, ahem, Christina Aguilera). It's all over the map from flattering, not so flattering, super sexy, conservative, alternative, country, but no matter what, I find it super entertaining.

This season The Voice stylists hit it out of the park on a male contestant - Nick Hagelin. The icing on the cake is that this guy seems like the most genuine and special person in the world. He loves his family and has a little boy with special needs. He is trained as a ballet dancer and so he moves in a most amazing way while singing. They somehow styled him in a way that felt 100% authentic and congruent to who he is as a person and a performer. I think this guy would be what would happen if Tinker Bell had a baby with Captain America and that child grew up to be a Jedi. I am just so taken with his style on the show. He was sadly just voted off (while very gifted, I don't think he was quite up to the caliber of some of the other singers). I really hope he takes some of this style with him wherever he goes...

I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did! (The first pic is of him as a ballet dancer and then the next two looks are from when he first got on the show. After that you can see how things evolved. These aren't even all of the looks, but they were my favorite!)
