SF, good suggestion. I just stored what I had set aside this Fall as not currently working, and my Fall alterations pile but while I was putting it away I it was thinking I should have noted what was too big, too small or just needed normal alterations. Next time! I did remember to keep a big donate box nearby and give everything a condition check in the current somewhat bright(er) light. When it gets warmer I will tackle Spring the same way.

Sure ‘tis fine- oh yes. The story of many new, unworn items in my wardrobe, bought because they seemed good enough at the end of a long search. And simultaneously the story of items kept too long. I tend to stop wearing things past a certain level of visible wear, but my imaginary self apparently believes I keep wearing things until they are rags.

I'm also guilty of the 'good enough'. Now that it's cold enough here for thick bottoms, I finally pulled out my dark brown trousers only to discover that one is too low in the rise (no amount of belting will make them sit on my natural waist lol) & the other now has bleach marks (not my doing, but still lol).

I've been compromising for years now when it comes to highwaisted dark brown bottoms but arghhh if they aren't hard to find - especially if I want them to actually fit (I need an almost 14" rise to reach my natural waist, but also a 28" inseam to reach my ankles)! Good luck finding that for petites - let alone in a warm chocolate colour, lol!
