Famous Gap jeggings - me too!

Hearing all Angie's praises for Gap jeggings I have decided to order them too! Unfortunately dark faded rinse Angie has and which I liked a lot was sold out in my size so I ordered navy wash and faded black wash instead. Jeggings in black faded wash arrived today! They feel comfortable but look pretty tight comparing to my skinnies. What do you think - can I wear them with tops shorter than tunic length or not? Please ignore the length of this top - I will not wear it with these jeggings but it was short enough to see the fit.
They are on the short side but I plan to wear them with boots and reserve my regular skinnies for shoes and booties.

I'm not a fan of the wiskering detail, I think they make your hips look wider than they actually are. I wish they were a bit longer too... what kind of shoes will you be wearing them with?

They do seem a touch short - will they be paired only with boots?

I haven't worn my jeggings for a couple weeks now...they feel so darn tight on my calf I'm worried about cutting off the circulation! lol

Kate, I would wear them with boots only. I see your point on the wiskering though...
MPJ, surprisingly they do not feel too tight on my calves even though they are pretty big, It is thighs I worry about - they do not feel tight but do they look tight?

I don't particulary like the wash, too many wiskers and faded knees. But this is just my personal taste. Was this the look you wanted?

Sveta, I think the leans have potential. People might be thrown off by the incomplete outfit though. Lets see them tucked into boots with a top that you'd like to pair with the look. Does that sound reasonable?

Yes, Angie, it does. Actually I never considered a faded wash before your recent post on the faded denim. I am not sure I like it but I am willing to try.
I will try to style them and post pictures.

I tried the jeggings too, Sveta. They seemed a little too tight for my liking so I ended up with the Forever Skinnies instead. I think yours will look great with a tunic length top and tall boots. I don't especially care for my skinnies with my behind exposed, so I wear longer tops, jackets or cardigans but you are so svelt, you could easily pull it off.

I have these in the same wash - I love them. I bought a shorter length (petite) on purpose, because I wear them only tucked into boots, and I like not having that extra fabric bunching up. Much more comfortable. I only wear mine with tunic length tops as well, just as with any other type of legging.

Let's see you in an outfit - I bet they'll be great.

I think these will look fine, Sveta. I only wear mine with longer tops (mid-thigh or upper thigh) because I think that looks best for my body shape. Mine are long enough for both tucking into boots and wearing with flats (and other shoes), but I have other skinnies that are shorter and even better for boot-tucking.

Can't wait to see how you style them for more feedback!

Oh, one other thought. I was not a fan of faded denim either, even after Angie had written about faded washes and recommended them in various instances. However, I realized that faded washes would work better with some of my boots and help avoid stark contrasts between the two and shorten my leg line. So now I'm a converted faded denim admirer.

I plan to wear them with longer tops too. Saying that I realized that almost all my current longer tops are black or with black color in them. Now I am not sure if I can really pair them with this faded black wash...H-m-m, need to try and see... however this just confirms I need more longer non-black tops!!!!!
Sparky, this is a good point about the contrast with boots - I have not thought about that! I think they should work well with my tan boots and grey Franco Sarto boots!

I'm chiming in late. I like the fit on you, Sveta. Good point about pairing them with more colorful tops. I have too many COLOR tops and not enough black.

And I am TOTALLY into the lighter wash denim. The contrast is great and the right cut will NOT make your caboose look huge. That used to be what was holding me back!
