Hi Ladies,

I thought I would start a fresh thread! I am so thankful for your kind words and support with respect to my MIL. I think it's one of the things that has kept me strong.

So, MIL has now been moved to the Rehab Ward and is doing some OT and Physio to prepare her for going home (still a couple of weeks away). She is still receiving 4 hourly intravenous antibiotics. I have just come home from visiting and she is dressed, looking well and very chatty:)

On another note, my SIL was rushed to hospital this morning. She has a motor neurone disease complicated by a sclerosis. (All very complex, despite all my reading, i don't fully understand, but I do know it is not a nice way to go). She was having trouble breathing. She lives at least 2 hours away so we are waiting on call from her husband to update us further.

We haven't told my MIL yet (SIL is her youngest daughter) just in case it was just a "funny turn" and all is fine and she is returned home in the next little while.

Meanwhile DH and DS are away for the night on a Dad and Son camp:) Believe it or not, aside from my hospital stay in 2010, this is the first time I have been without both my boys overnight. They have texted to say they are having a great time and due to DH's work commitments will be back first thing in the morning. So Im heading out shortly to have dinner at my friend's home (her DH and DS are also on the camp) and then back home where I will probably sit up in bed and catch up on the YLF happenings today.

Thank you so much for being here for me. It means more than you know.
I sometimes wish I could just appear where you are and give each of you a big hug and say thank you. Beth Ann (and any other Whovians) if you are reading this... I need my own Tardis!

I trust you are all doing ok. It's been a horrible week for many.

xxx Deborah
