We will find out this week. There are all sorts of predictions being made but not all well informed. It is of course much easier in a small island nation with a population similar to Oregon or Kentucky with a central government and the advantage of distance. We went hard and early so there is minimal community transmission.
Our lockdown is tougher than most in the US though:
- only supermarkets are open and pharmacies and a few corner stores
- online deliveries for essential services only (there are some pushing it but no clothing, books, takeaways etc
I am hopeful that we will get back to Level 2 in about two to three weeks....
I really feel for people in the US right now, tough times indeed.
