I cannot figure out how to take a picture and not have the phone blocking the upper half of my body. Anyways, easy fall casual work uniform : blazer, top , jeans, jewellery, boots. I added the scarf because Angie said so But - it was a little warm for it today and I felt somewhat jammed up with all of that around my neck. I wore it for a few minutes, and it was off by the time I got into the car . I can dress however I want for work, but do prefer to dress professionally-casual. Even on the Friday of a long weekend , when the city is on pre-holiday mode. It's our Thanksgiving this weekend!

I don't have a pair of the "new YLF jeans" = dark rinse, straight cut, no distressing. Sorry about that Haven't had the time lately or emotional energy to spend trying on jeans . I love these ones, they are soft and fit me well, so I'm wearing them until further notice.
I bought this scarf earlier this week from a customer - it's a line that shows up a lot here at indie boutiques and is well-priced for such good quality . I've worn the scarf (which is a teal, olive and navy print) 3 days in a row - with a teal outfit, a navy outfit, and an olive outfit. Love that kind of find.

boots - Kors (2016) - navy suede
jewellery - Unode50 (2016)
scarf - Soya Concepts (2017)

The photos of my big face are to show the colours of the scarf and jewellery etc. Taking selfies is so weird. Half the problem is I can't see without my glasses and am peering into the sun.

lisa p, you look arty, edgy, and polished. I like your blazer very much. You can't sell me on scarves--my short neck and big bust do not allow it--but I like the print on yours, a lot.

I haven't heard any good jokes lately, don't do much photography, am expert in nothing. If I was, I probably wouldn't know it!

I do know nice looking clothes when I see them. And that is to say, your citron velvet blazer is so good looking. Your jewelry is always nice too. Enjoy your Thanksgiving Holiday.

Love the textures/patterns on the scarf! But why do all the scarves these days have to be so huge? With my short neck and short stature, they completely overwhelm me, not to mention drive me nuts. I'm too lazy to pull out the scissors and cut one or more down to size. I would probably ruin it anyway. . .

I love everything you have on Lisa. Your jeans look great on you. I love the scarf. I have seen Soya Concepts in some of the Indie boutiques but I have not really taken a good look at their scarves. I love the sound of yours. The colours are perfect. Where could I get one like yours?

I am useless when it comes to taking pictures. I have to get Mr Style Fan to take them. That is why my WIWs are so rare.

Donna, Emily - I know what you mean about scarves. Many verge on being too big on me too. I'm of completely average height, and without a particularly long neck (but I've never actually considered whether it's long or short so....) and have a bigger-than-I-would-like chest and many of these pseudo-blankets are crazy-bulky. I have luck with fine-gauge wovens in rayons (which is what this is) and silks. The blanket styles that I sell so many of , and which look cool on young hipster girls, completely elude me.

I remember that blazer was a top pick last year. Fab on you. And super cute with the necklace.

It's amazing how beautifully a blazer pulls together an outfit. And I do understand that it's more comfortable to wear a bulky scarf when you have a long neck.

Fantastic look, Lisa. The scarf photographs really well but I'd be ripping it off too. Unless it's winter and it's cold I can't be that bundled. I too prefer silky ones that I can roll up and sort of drape vertically.

Can't help you with selfies. I always end up look demented so you're WAY ahead of me. LOL

Wow, Lisa, I am all over this outfit. That blazer is fantastic, I don't know what I like more, the cut, the fact that it´s velvet, or the bright color. I like everything in this outfit, jeans, top, booties, jewelry, scarf, and of course that blazer.

I'm so jealous you are in jackets and scarves already! We were 85 degrees today...I had on short sleeves instead of sleeveless and was too hot. Anyway...YLF!

Peri - I forget where you live .....? It got up to 18C ( about 65f ) today and with the sun out too , it was a bit warm for all of this . However, it IS October .....

A robbery occurred at a Toronto pharmacy earlier this week. Two men stole a van making a delivery of the drug Viagara.. The police are looking for a pair of hardened criminals.

That blazer and scarf are such lovely, arty statement pieces. I especially love the perfect length that the blazer hits at your hip.

Lately (past few years) my attitude towards taking photos for here is just you get what you get. For most of the year, I'm not home when there's natural light outside. I have a cell phone and no full length mirror. It's not worth it to me to spend more than 5 min on a photo when I have the time, and most days there's no time. Getting dressed is fun, but it is a small piece of my life and I'm not fussed if my self-taken photos are imperfect for a small group on this forum.

Great outfit, hair and makeup, and the jeans look stylish. I love the look with and without the the scarf. I only have a few scarves and rarely wear them - I find them fussy and pull them off. I guess I need "practice".

The color of the blazer is fab. I can't take scarves around my neck when the weather is warm either. It's warm and humid here, totally weird for October, and I'm looking forward to normal weather so I can wear my blazers.

Re: mirror selfies. I hold the phone in front of my face which seems to work pretty well. I figure y'all know what I look like so you don't need to see my face anyway. Also I find it works better (less weird camera angle distortion) if I stand a little further from the mirror and just crop out the extra stuff.
