Fall wish/need list

Following Angie's post here and on FB, what items are on your fall clothing list. I need/want white shirts and brown knee boots. The list is just beginning for me. How about you?

Flat riding boot in black , knee highed and with buckle detail.....Have a pair that are lined in fur, but need a second that can be worn earlier in the fall .

I am always on the hunt for a dressy black tall boot with a nice 2 inch'ish heel, which fits my athletic calves and short height. I searched all last fall/winter to no avail. Hoping for success this year!

I was just thinking about fall today, as I have lots of clothes and shoes, sandals for summer. It doesn't get cold enough here until November for winter stuff, but will go to the mountains in October and it will be cold there. I want a trench coat, and will definitely need some flats, heels like maybe pumps to wear with tights or maybe semi opaque hose, and some shoes besides tennis or athletic shoes to be worn with socks for showing my dog in obedience trials. Can't wait to see what will be available in dressy boots. I have high black flat heel bots and 2 pairs of sort of western style boots that I haven't worn much last winter.
Last fall I bought a pair of oxfords. only wore then twice. No one here seems to wear them, but in some ways I like to be different, so maybe I will get another pair. I have suade flat knocking around boots that are really well worn so will replace them too.

I honestly don't need a thing for fall/winter....but I never found my perfect chunky sweater last season. I know exactly what I want: oversized copper/terracotta color with short sleeves so I can layer a white shirt underneath.

For some reason I have been thinking about a "military coat" a la Emanuelle Alt but longer than a peacoat.

Did Angie do a fall post already and I somehow missed it?

Mia, no, she just posted that fall stuff is coming out in the stores and there will be a lot more next month.

Kristin, the brogues are nice.

Nancylee, the copper/terracotta sounds so pretty with the white shirt.

Oldmsthrifty, is sounds like you have quite a few choices in your closet. Closet shopping is sometimes the best.

And time to figure it out before the weather turns. I just got my spring/summer act together for the first time (thanks YFL). I want to see how well my first ideas hold up before I start spending the household income on fall stuff. Next year: ready for NAS!

I hadn't started a list yet. But I know I will want a new pair of knee high boots -- preferably in taupe, grey, or navy, but black if I must. I will also undoubtedly get another pair of booties. Maybe a bright pair this time.

And I will want a couple of new toppers.

And a suit.

Nail head studded clogs/booties - purple or grey preferred.

Have had both on my 2013 shopping list since before the start of the year.

Kristin, try Duo for the boots. They ship internationally and cater for those of us with larger calves. I plan to get a black pair myself from there.

3 new cardigans, one dark brown, possibly one dark teal and one patterned.

1/2 rollneck jumpers. The chocolate one is a necessity, perhaps one in another warm colour.

KICKASS WINTER COAT. This is the biggie. I'd like something in brown or green, with a nipped in waist, possibly with a tweedy or tartan pattern.

Pair of smart knee boots with a small heel. Brown leather, possibly with broguing detail or small buttons.

(If my budget will stretch to this) Another pair of brown leather knee boots, but slightly more casual.

(Maybes) A couple of winter dresses. These are purely optional and will only be bought if I see them in silhouettes and patterns that catch my eye.

It feels really good to be in a position where nearly all my functional wardrobe is in place. Soon all I'll be buying are fun pieces, the icing on the cake if you will

I love fall so I'm guessing my list will grow! For now I want BF jeans, olive cargos and Harrow booties. Also some nice comfy oversized sweaters.

Needs are knee length skirts, 2 or 3. Also 2 or 3 new sweaters varying from fine guage to chunky knit.
Wants are knee-high burgundy/deep red boots with a mid heel. Also I would love a purple Trench.

The big-ticket items are a new wool coat (preferably in a bright color) and flat knee-length black boots. Boot shopping, of course, is always an ordeal. I'm spending the summer in SF so my pants capsule will surely be set, but I do need to continue rebuilding my collection of wool sweaters after losing one on a trip and a few others to moths last year.

If I manage to lose the last of the excess weight I'm working on, I'll need new bottoms. So, dark wash straight jeans, medium wash boyfriend jeans, and skinny jeans in some nice fall color. Then some nice ponte pants. A pretty but comfy skirt. Booties seem like they'd be fun. I've been wanting a pink coat for playing in the snow. And a couple of warm cardigans or hoodies. And maybe a couple of scarves in fall colors.

I will need new smart-casual and business casual items this fall. Also in the market for a suit or two. Very much looking forward to the NAS, and more importantly - Angie's picks from the sale.

Needs:

dress pants
blazers/jackets/toppers
suit (s) - one, maybe two
dressier blouses, crisp shirts
lined skirts
1 pair comfortable 'dress' pumps (not too high a heel), preferably in a colour that will work with everything else
2-3 pair dressier "shooties" or booties
a few nice turtleneck sweaters
fall/winter dresses - more on the career-ish side instead of the casual "OTG" side

Wants:

Trench (I have three now, two black and one pink/fuschia - don't like the black ones so much anymore, and the fuschia one I have reads is very spring-like both in colour and weight/fabrication) - not sure what colour to get...something not black!
A more serious-looking proper winter coat (I have an ancient black one that I'm bored with and it's looking a bit "old", and I also have a more 'fun' blue tweed double breasted style, but it's not warm enough/dressy enough). Again - want something not black, and dressier than what I have.
new watch - I'd like something a bit more substantial and something that will go the distance in terms of style

Just realized that my fall/winter wardrobe needs an overhaul. Less casual, and more 'smart-casual' or 'business-casual'. This is where I need to step up my wardrobe.
