Fall loot, the final installment: in which Michelle hopes the picture

Efrem wasn't working tonight, so I had to call upon his wife Mary to take tonight's picture. She only took one, so I hope it turned out well...it's supposed to show you the final three pieces of my fall haul.

For this shot, I paired the Sejour dolman sweater with a pair of more medium-wash jeans that I already owned. The sweater didn't feel too voluminous for boot cut jeans, but do correct me if I'm wrong. With this I have tied the red leopard/polka dot scarf in the Angie knot. Please let me know if this styling works, because it feels great. I figured the trendier elements of the outfit would balance out the traditional vibe of my pewter pumps. Finally, the black and white snake bag on my shoulder is the one I just acquired. Is it too statementy to be worn with this scarf? Does it work for my style? Personally I'm quite enamoured of the size and fabric, but you're the final judge.

Thanks ladies! I feel good in the outfit, which is extremely comfortable. One question about the sweater...am I wearing it right? Am I supposed to wear it with the band pulled down most of the way like that, or should I let it sit higher on my hips for a more blousen effect? And does the Angie knot work for the scarf, or should I tie it differently in order to make the most of the unusual pattern?

I don't know if you realize this but snakeskin is VERY trendy for fall. It may overtake leopard.

Oooo, I LOVE the bag! I think it's great with the scarf because the other elements of the outfit are actually very simple. I think the top does work with bootcuts. It would also likely work with skinnies...and probably pencil skirts, too!

You look fab and all the pieces themselves look great: love the bag and the scarf, the dolman top and jeans are wonderful too!

I think where the top rests is fine and I also think you could pull it up a little - maybe up to where the bottom hem of the band is at crotch length (does that make sense?). That might add a bit of blousing to it, but not too much.

And your shoes look exceptionally good with this outfit too

And I've already gotten a comment or two on that snake bag, which I think I'm really going to love. I wish I knew a way to make a magnetic flat closure a tad more secure, but it'll do. If anyone has tips, do share!
