This will be the first in fffa series of posts about my new fall loot, about which I'm quite excited! I started out not feeling this season, but that is rapidly changing!
First item was procured with help from the lovely Marianna, who tracked it down for me in stores when it appeared to have vanished from the online inventory. The Steve Madden Tweed Cape sounded like a winner for me and I was hell-bent on getting it...and based on early feel I'm so, so glad I did! However...I'll restrain my joy until I get the verdict. Please be honest...if it looks dreadful on me, or even if it just looks ok, back it must go.
What I love about this cape, other than the lovely soft tweed fabric and beautiful weight, is the design feature that gives it real waist definition!! It has these inside tabs that can be snapped on one of three different settings. It was set to the loosest one when I took it out of the box, and in this pic I have it on the tightest...considering my hourglassy-ness, I suspect it works, but do speak up if you disagree. If you approve this outfit, it's nice to know I can adjust the waist tabs to accommodate bulkier layers if need be.
