It's my favourite season, hands-down. And not just because it's my favourite one to dress for. This morning I took the dog out at six thirty, and that fall scent was in the air for the first time this year. It's one of my favourite things on the planet (humming tune from "Sound of Music"). I think I like the fall scent even more than the beauty of nature at this time of year, and that's saying a lot, because who doesn't love it when the leaves turn red and gold and flutter down?

I love fall clothes best, too. It's cool enough that you can layer a bit, but still warm enough that protecting yourself from the weather isn't your biggest issue. You don't have to worry about covering your knees with pants or woolly tights all the time, and you can wear nice leather shoes and hats without them getting soaked. And in my part of the world, fall has lots of dry crisp days and lasts quite a long time.

What is your favourite season for style? Is it the same as your favourite season, period?
