Fall boots

So, I am determined to find a dress or two for my wardrobe by fall. To be able to wear them, though, i will need boots and tights.

I have fussy feet, so boots with high heels are not an option. I also need them to be comfortable and have a rubber sole.

I love clean classic lines, no buckles or crests (not sure what to call the logos they stamp into the leather of the boot) for this first pair.

Just not crazy about the price, especially as I am not sure about my style yet, nor that I will like and wear dresses long term.

Looking for other ideas, or maybe I should just stalk them. We have time before fall.
It's just that they are quite pricey, and no reviews yet.

I like those as well. I would caution to be aware of your calf size when looking for tall boots for dresses. You don't want them to be too big around. I got some Santana Canada boots for under $100 on Amazon a few seasons back so you may want to look around a bit - deals can be had!

*sigh* Boots that are too big around the calves. Now there's a novel thought...

But those do look like really great boots. The style is low-key enough that they should be good for years without running afoul of the fashion gods too.

As someone who tried on way too many pairs of boots last year, I'd also caution you to measure your calf length for the shaft height. E.g. I have 14" calves, proportionately muscular to my very small feet, and also a short shin.... many boots will just barely zip over the widest point of my calf but still gap an inch at the top. But if you have size 9 feet and 14" calves, you may find yourself needing to seek out narrow-calf styles.

Yes, fitting boots can be almost as challenging as fitting jeans! We're all different.

Those are gorgeous boots and you can't go wrong with that style....but you really truly need to try them on. If you can order and take advantage of free shipping and returns, that is one thing. But I would suggest trying on in store if you can do that.

Stuart W. makes wonderful, comfy shoes, so I wouldn't worry about that aspect. But I would def. check your measurements before ordering. I have a hunch you could probably also find something similar for less, although often it's difficult to find something with the exact elegance of craftsmanship and design as SW...

Those boots are beautiful, but at 17" high, you will need to measure carefully. These seem to be for a tall woman. You have great advice about watching out for calf circumference.
