Hmmmm. I really like harem pants but these are not doing it for me:(. The coat is intriguing bu the other pieces kind of look wrong to me. Looks like a conservative label trying to be "cool".

I try not to have a poison eye about most things, but the harem pants are just not doing it for me.

I dunno, but I actually think Anna and Angie could make those pants look good. Somehow, they remind me a little bit of Angie's jodhpurs.

I'm a fan of harem pants in most iterations, crotch dropped anywhere between ankle and knee. Mine are all solid black jersey, so have lots of drape. Earlier this summer in Shanghai saw a woman with amazing print harems, crotch at ankle, fabric looked like cotton batik. She looked so cool in the awful heat and humidity. These fair isle -- the idea is interesting, but look like they might be bulky or stiff. The seaming down the center doesn't help.

Ack. I meant that Anna and Angie could style the trousers with the puffed out pockets and look good. Not the harems.

If anyone could do something cool and interesting with the Fair Isle harems and come out looking great in the process, it would be you, Rachy. You need those pants!

LOL. That reminds me of this hilarious post from a Scottish knitting blogger. Ever since reading it, I've been keeping an eye out at thrift stores for a giant fair isle sweater to repurpose.

(Oh! I just saw Diana already linked to that idea!)

I don't like how harem pants feel on me (I can't walk in my normal stride w the dropped crotch), but I'd wear those slim trousers with the oversized hip pockets in a heartbeat! They're a bit like jodphurs, which I lurve.

For someone hipless like me, #3 would totally work at least back when I was skinny. The rest just confounds me.

E - that post is great! hahaha . Actually I kind of like the idea of the pocket pants too.

To be fair, this collection had a couple of simple shift/bell dresses, trench coats, and some OTT but potentially interesting crocheted lace that caught my fancy. But these items left me pondering....
