Fabrics for sheath dress

Hi I´m new in this, but i try to check every web i can to find the best clothes for my body type, which is Pear. I´m 5.4" 150 lbs and have large hips so i´m bottom heavy. 2 Months ago i wore a black sheath dress like this one here: http://intheircloset.com/desig.....ath-dress/ for a wedding. It was winter, because I live in Peru, and i will have another wedding on march (will be summer) I´m sure that this kind of dress fits me better than others so im trying to use this kinds of dresses everytime i can. But since this wedding is going to be on summer, i definitely want to wear a printed one but i dont know if a floral fabric will be too much, specially in the bottom. What do you suggest. Catherine, the dress is lovely but has lots going in with the ruffle. I'd stick with a beautiful flattering plain color rather than a print. If you really want a print, maybe try for one without a lot of contrast in the colors used.
You might also want a fabric with enough thickness not to cling but to hang so that it skims your body. A summer weight wool or wool blend or cotton with lycra perhaps.

I think the dress is beautiful, and welcome to the forum! It seems a shame to pop this style into a print, but a colour other than black would be fabulous.

Thanks Angie and Joy!!!! Well i made that dress in just plain black for the wedding i´ve told you, and i think the shape looks good on my body type. So I dont know if any other sheath dress will look ok in printed fabric due to this new wedding i´m attending is on summer 2010. Also another question what kind of sandals should i wear??? Thanks for your response
