Fab new shoes - but flawed? Please weigh in! - New pics

Was so thrilled to find these shoes on sale in my size! Got them today - and there's a weird little fold in the leather on one shoe. Not sure if it will smooth out or what. Does it look freaky? Opinions? Ideas?

I should note I am taking this pic sittin with my leg crossed... that's why it's upside down. Thanks!

The fold isn't supposed to be there? It looks intentional from here... is it on the other shoe as well?

I don't think it'd smooth out... if it is noticeably different from it's mate it may be an issue for you.

The fold that runs over your arch? The other shoe doesn't have it? It would bug me if they were mine, but other people may never notice and it may not bother you. I'd probably return. I don't like paying good money for flaws and I'd always focus on it.

That's so weird. It looks completely intentional - and awesome, but the fact that the other shoe doesn't have the fold is really weird. One of the shoes is flawed - but I'm not sure if it's the one with the fold or the one without!

I don't think the fold will release itself (especially if it's meant to be there!) but I also don't think it would be all that noticeable.

Your unpolished toes are cute!

Return or replace. Looks to be shoddy workmanship, as in they didn't stretch the leather right.

How deep was the sale? Could you get your cobbler to stretch the other shoe to have the same fold? o_0

That would bother me too. It looks as if one shoe was made to gather and the other wasn't. I like the gather, but not on just one shoe. They don't look as if they match.

It would bother me, although both looks are cool. I just returned a pair of shoes because the leopard pattern was so different on each shoe. So Team RATE but A-R!

They were $138 from $330. And the real bugger is, they're really comfortable! I wonder if I contacted Coclico (the manufacturer) if they'd do something about it. Or Amazon, which sold it to me.

I could do these flawed for less than $100, but not more than.

Yes, that is a fair deal - absolutely. And because of the flaw, you don't know how they will wear. Will the leather on one shoe stretch out more, is the leather on one shoe inferior to the other, was it a cutting error. Maybe a cobbler could fix it...but that would add to your cost. I would contact amazon with these photos. That is a good idea.

Seriously though I would return them if this difference is so visible.
Can you get another pair from them - it may be just bad workmanship on this particular one.

I *could* get another pair, but in one 1/2 size up. And these fit really well! Ugh. I hate when this happens. ("This" being something ALMOST perfect!)

WHOO HOO! $40 discount for flawed merchandise from Amazon! I probably could have argued a little more, but it was a bit rough explaining to the poor international dude (who probably knows women's shoes from a hole in the ground) that the purity of line of the shoe wasn't right. I think my point that even if I returned them, they couldn't sell them again, made the deal...

So less than $100, all told. And free shipping! Eh. Could be worse! With any luck, they'll both fold over right at that line and no one will ever know that one fold is a wee bit chunkier than the others. And if one of them sags like a fallen cake instead, serves me right for accepting something Less Than Perfect!

YAY ! Maybe you could try to "scrunch" up the leather a bit on the other shoe. I think that it is a fair deal....hopefully you will love wearing them !
