What an inspiration to see! (To me, the clothes she's wearing are wonderfully appropriate and up to date. The mattress on the floor seems weird though.)

Anchie, how awful that people would say such things to you. I'm older than you so maybe I could carry this off better. But really, if it happened to me I'd fix them with a baleful stare and ask, if they really thought I might be a witch, is it wise to be rude to me?

Beautiful model. It's so good to see some diversity in age. Would love more in body size, too.

I noticed her too, and I love it!

- as for the Madewell to J Crew relationship, I'd say: Madewell is much more specifically trendy, aimed at a certain cool girl aesthetic. Quality is often actually higher than J Crew, and prices reflect it (things usually stay at full price). J Crew is caught in an unfortunate dilemma where their sales decreased, so they slashed prices, so they had to skimp on quality, customers were frustrated, and the cycle continues. I get the sense that Madewell's sales are impressively strong. They're the It brand for a certain demographic though I don't know if that demographic is upper middle class teens, urban twentysomethings, or what... Their stuff often feels young on me but I still find a few gems here and there. Salespeople there are quite friendly to me, but I do stick out as an older customer with edgier style.

Regarding fit, at the lower end of the size range I'd say they're about the same, though I have no idea about other sizes. Madewell's style is more often relaxed cuts. J Crew used to be too straight-cut for me - cut for long skinny arms, long flat torso. Madewell has always fit my shorter, curvier frame better - but sizing is often inconsistent. Their jeans run large in my experience.

What a beautiful woman and YES to rocking the trends at any age.

It is great to see an older model who has not been photo shopped. I have always loved Kate Moss, but in many photos, they erase all signs of ageing, giving the message that she is less beautiful now than before.
When I was a moody teenager my Mother said to me,
"At 20 you get the face that nature gave you, at 40 you get the face that you deserve - so you had better stop frowning and smile a bit more..."

This woman has a beautiful face, it does not look young or altered and I am thrilled to see her represent a company whose clothing seems so much more desirable than before.

Anchie - you are beautiful and have gorgeous hair.

Anchie, I’m amazed that people would actually say that, whether to a stranger or aquatintance. You could go a step past the “yes, practicing my spells” response to look the person up and down and reply “no, I lost out to someone with [offender’s most obvious trait] Or you take the high road as my son suggests and ignore them because they’re idiots.

Anchie, how incredibly rude, I can´t believe it! FWIW, I love your hair and it looks great worn down.

Anchie, what they commented was not about you, it was about themselves.
You always look lovely. The comment awakens a well earned nasty reply.
I would say I have just started and have not yet gained as much expertise as you have.
