It’s a New Years miracle!

I haven’t tried on any new blue jeans or denim in months. But I saw the recommendation from Angie for these jeans, and have been enjoying flares enough that I thought this may be a good update since my old Gap flares are getting a bit faded and worn and are also a bit low-waisted (I still have the Love Story jeans too, which also fall in that lower waisted, lighter wash category).

They arrived today and I tried them on tonight, and I love them! There is just enough stretch, the fit is great, they are long enough to wear with a small heel, they’re flattering, and I like the wash. Best of all, my husband loves them too.

Thanks, Angie! Starting the new year with new denim. I’ll try to post pics tomorrow.

I also tried this fair isle henley, as it seemed like a potential good super-casual way to try out a fair isle pattern. It was close to working but a little too roomy in the shoulders and the neckline (I’m too short in the upper torso for it, and I think sizing down to a S will make it too snug in the waist/hip, *sigh* menopause). The colors are so different from the stock photo though — more grey in the body rather than the navy it looks here.

The R&B solid sweater is really nice. Simple, lightweight, good neckline on me. I’m due for some refreshing of basics like this, and this is definite strong candidate.
