Fab Day-time Clutch? ETA: more options

What do you think about this? I was thinking at first to find an envelope style but I haven’t been able to find one. I don’t want to go too expensive, but wouldn’t mind paying for nice leather and good make that will hold up for several years. I was thinking red in this case. I could also see doing a black one if it had some nice detail or a green (but not the green on this webpage). Has anyone seen something nice out there? This one is a little under 14 x 10 inches.

It passes my test. 14x10 is fairly large, but that's not a bad thing. Here's a larger envelope style clutch (with chain you can pop out if needed). Leather, good price.

Thanks for the link. I didn't know that vendor. The price is nice and I like that it has the chain, but I think I am digging a brighter red at the moment.

that is indeed very pretty! I am wary of the metal dictating what metals I can wear in the rest of my outfit though. I will keep my eyes peeled now to see this one in your WIWs.

Scarlet, those are so pretty - I would vote for one with a detachable strap, so you can wear it as a cross-body when the baby comes. You're definitely going to want to be able to have your hands free, and (if you're anything like me), you may be sleep-deprived and running on fumes, so to speak, prone to leaving things behind that aren't attached to you : )

Sarah, I have been fretting about the practicality, but I guess I can reserve it for days when Daddy carries baby. I think I am sick of being well-behaved and practical for these long months and looking to be slightly naughty.

Clutches are great bags for throwing in the basket of your pram Scarlet. Plus it is mandatory (or should be) to get the ocassional lunch off to catch up with friends or hubby.
