Ezibuy order: help! - YouLookFab Forum

Hi ladies,

I've just received my first ever Ezibuy order and I need some help. I was a bit overwhlemned by the catalogue so figured I'd order a whole heap and return what doesn't work. I only want to keep 10s as there's some other stuff I'm eyeing online, so be ruthless please.

1) Boots
Dawn inspired me to try to over the knee boot trend. A few weeks ago I tried a pair from witchery that fit well in the leg and calf, but felt a bit pointy toed and plain to me.

I'd thought I'd try these ones from ezibuy with a buckle at the top. I'm unsure about the toe - does it look clunky? And are they too loose through the calf/ankle? They also feel slightly roomy in the foot, but given that they're a pull-on boot that makes them easy to take on & off.

I've kept one boot on, and one shoe on for most of the pics to get a feel for how they look with various things....

2) Red dress (Fabric: merino)

Maybe a bit too tight under the chest? Is it too long as well (shock horror on me I know!)
Now that I see it, I think anne got this one too?

3) Black dress (Fabric: merino)

Definitely a size too small. Does up at the back, but barely, and is tight around the ribcage. Is it worth sizing up or should I just return it??

4) Teal knit dress (Fabric: viscose/cotton/angora)

Lovely and soft. Does the contrast stritching on the bust work though? And is it too long? These can't be shorterned right? Is boots + leather jacket too much leather?

5) Teal tunic (Fabric: viscose/cotton/angora)
This is the exact same teal colour as the dress.....too much teal? It also matches my dining chairs hehe

Sorry if the photos are suboptimal...they were taken in poor lighting at the end of the day. I can take closeups tomorrow if needed! Also apologies for the hair.....atrociously dirty but I was holding out on showering till getting ready to go out for dinner.

Speaking of which, I have snipped off one tag without ylf approval already. I wanted to wear this item out to dinner tonight. Naughty aren't I?

Love everything! Those dresses are gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep all of them!

As to the boots, I think the are too loose at the ankle, I'm not a boot expert but that what bothers me.

Re the red dress, I did post this I think, but I bought a different one. I am not convinced this is a great look on you - perhaps it is the tightness under the chest you mentioned

I think the teal dress just pips the teal tunic.

The black dress looks good - can't tell your fit issues from the front!

I like the boots with the Boden dress. I think you have to have something that short to show them off well. I think they might show better with a bare leg, too. I'd size up for the black dress- I like that one, and keep the teal tunic. The others I'd send back- you can do better.

Re the boots I have some pull on boots (unYLF approved) and they are baggy at the ankle like those this doesn't bother me as i only wear them in winter and with THICK socks x

Thanks for the advice guys!!! So far I am not seeing any clear winners/losers here. I must admit I'm a bit confused.

Well so far I'm keeping:
- teal tunic (cut tags off and wore it last night)

Undecided about:
- Black boots
- Red dress
- Black dress
- Teal dress

In reality I think I should keep only one dress.....red/black/teal guys?? I'm actually tending towards the red purely based on colour, but yeah not sure about how it flatters or length!

And if these don't work, here are other options I've been stalking online and loving too.....

Boots:
- Eric Michaels over the knee boots - maybe I should try these out instead if I'm not loving the ezibuy ones? Perhaps the zip would make it better fitting at the ankle? However these might be too short (21 1/2 inches)?? The ezibuy ones are 23 inches which seem like a good length for me.
- Frye Melissa - not black or over the knee but I love the look of them anyway and want to get them (nearly have enough saved from putting $50 away each pay)

Dresses:
- Michael Kors ylf store dress - not sure how wintery/summery this fabric is, but love the colour, the sleeves and the print
- Easygoing Boden Silk Dress - much more summery, but love the pattern of the BBL colour

What's a girl to do huh???

Nice loot, Tam! I vote keep the Boden dress, black dress, teal tunic and the teal dress. Return the red dress and I'd love a close up of the boots.

Also, is the new item in the last pic the scarf or the trench? Both are KILLER.

Thanks for the input Angie! Boden dress isn't new, so it's a keeper. The red trench and scarf aren't new either, thats just what I wore out last night (bought them both from H&M in San Franscisco last year!!)

Sounds like the red dress needs to go much as I love the colour.

I'll try taking a closeup later of the boots for further scrutiny if thats ok!!!!

I vote to keep the black dress and your already worn tunic, I'm unsure of the boots. Your curls are looking fab!

I like your assessment of it. I think the black dress will work well once it's up a size.

Thanks R&J.....my hair was a real mess yesterday, but I am liking it when washed (and its much easier to wash too). I'm thinking I could have gone another 10cm shorter to make it chin length rather than shoulder length though.....maybe once winter is over!!!

And stringy I think you're right...I'll try the black dress a size up. I'm suprrised this one was so popular, but there it is.
