Sarah, lol! Perhaps I should become an editor...
I love this thought: "sometimes the reason we haven't tried something before is that we've stuck with what works!"
I actually find this to be true. I do think trying something new can be beneficial, even if it doesn't pan out as we hoped. Angie
recently pointed out to me that "You need the no's to confirm the yes's!" That really gave me some excellent perspective. Not sure if or how that helps you choose eyeglasses, but I thought I would mention it.
For myself, I tried a pair of smaller, very retro-style cat eye frames about 10 years ago. They never, ever felt right or "me" despite the optician loving them on me and saying they were my best pair for my face shape. I have since realized that I really feel and look best in a larger, even oversized, rounded/squarish frame. Photos just for visual example. I'm sharing that to point out that I feel the optician's choice didn't really suit me. Not sure which criteria opticians use to choose eyeglass frames for customers. For myself, I haven't been pleased when I went with the optician's choice, sadly and oddly. Not sure if you've noticed one way or another with optician's suggestions?
Sorry for such a lengthy reply! Interesting subject matter to chat about though!
