I have never had my brows done. At most, I've plucked some wayward hairs. Last week, I decided to stop fretting and try it at least once. My friend recommended threading, so I looked for someone local and went today.

I cringed as she did it but I figured most of it would grow back if there was a mistake. Mostly, I am trying to sort out brow shape so I could better maintain them.

I think I prefer my closer-to-Frida au natural look, but am wondering about the overall shaping. Thoughts so I can better manage it as it grows in? I tried to push my hair back so you could see better.

I think the shape is great and really suits your face shape. Your eyebrows are also a good depth of colour and don't look like they need any extra pencil either (you lucky thing!).

Gorgeous brows. Perfect shape for your eyes and face. Lucky you that your brows are so dark. I get my brows threaded. It is much better than waxing (pulls and ages the skin) or plucking (misses tiny blonde hairs).

Lovely, lovely, lovely! I wish my brows looked like that. I've been thinking about getting mine done too, since I've never had them done. I have no idea about how to manage the hairs that grow in, since I am very ignorant about eyebrows!

Give it a week or two and I suspect you'll love it. Can you take a straight-on shot so we can see better? From what I can see the arch looks good - to maintain, focus your plucking efforts on maintaining the arch, just below it (not necessarily above it).

Right after (and I also just had my own done) I'm always like "where did my brows go??" but my brow hairs grow super fast, and it doesn't take long. As long as the shape is right, the hairs remaining just look better grown out a little longer (but not too long).

My usual threader is great at not over-trimming but she was closed so I went someplace new and whoa... over-trimmed! Trimming is not the same as threading. But she also went to town with the threading. It'd been 3 months so I knew I was ratty, but I got worried I'd look in the mirror after and have no brows left! And yeah, I miss my usual gal, she does a better job. BUT... I know my brows grow fast enough, they'll be just fine in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will try to keep the overall shape with just a little less removed. It took me and my husband a few days to get used to it, but it is good to know that the woman I saw did a good job.
