Express sale has me debating making it a whole suit - BBQ?

Part of me wants to wait and see if the pants fit before I jump into getting a matching jacket that I may have to return if said pants don't work. But the other part of me says, BBQ! I called to see if this is just the Memorial sale or if it's a separate one that might not end tomorrow. They don't know. So I run the risk of it going back up to $80 (which is out of my budget) if I wait. If I get it now, birthday gift cash will cover it. What to do??

Beautiful jacket! I got the studio editor stretch black jacket with the ruching and I love the fit! I got mine a couple of days ago with a buy one get on 50% off so I also got the white ruched jacket at the same time.

Meredith, do they do a lot of sales? I am thinking of waiting on pant fit first, if I can grab the jacket on sale at a later date. I just hate the feeling that if I don't snatch it now, my chance will be gone!

BBQ -- cute jacket, looks very figure-flattering, and it looks like your style (it's "you"). And if you can cover it with the birthday cash, why not give it a go?

My inclination would be to snap it up while it's there and on sale. You can always return it if the pants don't work out. I'm probably biased towards suits because I wear them often, but having a full suit that you can pull out on the occasions you might need one is always good. Not only that, but this is a suit that you could wear easily as separates - that jacket would look great with a pair of jeans. One caveat - if you buy these items to wear together occasionally as a suit, you'll want to dry clean both items at the same time, even if you haven't worn one. That way they both "wear" at the same level and you won't reach into your closet and find that the colors don't really match up anymore because you've worn one and cleaned it more often then the other.

Mo, they usually have some sort of sale going on if you are willing to wait. I just got a booklet of coupons from them with either $30 off $ 90 or 30% off, starting 5/29. You can print the coupon from their site on the 29th.
I do like Express for pants and blazers. I have a complete suit from them and let me tell you, it goes vis a vis with a theory one, I spent an arm and a leg on.

I like the color -- looks very season-spanning. Pair it with a coral top and pumps or dressy sandals in the spring, black or merlot + booties in the winter. White would work year-round with black or grey pumps.

I could also see you wearing the jacket separately with jeans, or the pants with a flowy top for brunch.

Print Zap's coupon of the Tuesday 29th, and if they still have your jacket, it's meant to be!

I had to run so I didn't have time to order until I returned home just now. Bummer how tax and shipping bump up the price, but I think I'd be sad if I didn't grab it and it was gone. So, yes, I pulled the trigger. The order is in. And I may have my first suit in over 10 years again. Whee!

Okay, my pants just came from eBay and I LOVE them!! I know it's a tease to not show pics, but I'm sunburned from the beach and, quite frankly, bloated from a few beers so we will debut the suit all together once the jacket comes. I'm eeking out a preliminary squeee though
