Experiences with Soma Intimates Bras

I really need some new bras that fit. I need either a 34F or 36DDDD which I can't find in the local department stores. I have been shoving the girls into bras that are too loose in the band and much too small in the cup.

There is a Soma Intimates shop a few towns over. The prices seem more within my budget than an Intimates shop.

Can anybody vouch for the quality of this brand?

I have had good experiences with their products, especially the Allura, and the Emma minimizers, which does a good job of doing a small bit of minimalizing, without squishing.

I went there at Lunch time. It was inside a Chicos store. They didn't carry the cup size I need. They only go up to DDD. They'd have to be ordered and from what I tried on, not as supportive as I needed. The bras were very feminine and pretty though.

I ended up at an Intimates store, which was up the street and came out with two excellent Wacoal bras. I am a 36G, the G is for Gasp! Good God! and Gianormous. But I am comfortable, my clothes fit better and I actually look smaller in a bra that fits me perfect.

I had been stuffing myself into 36DD all this time.

Claudia, I had a similar shock at a recent re-fitting. I'm glad you found some good solutions! I think the Soma near me carries a broader range of sizes (it's a separate storefront) but I had trouble finding my size there recently and ended up with a Fantasie bra from Nordstrom instead.

I'm SO glad you got a great fitting bra! There's nothing like it. Now that you mention the name Wacoal, I remember that was the brand the SA put me in when I was fitted for the first time (I didn't buy it though). I'm a 32B, so they must specialize in both ends of the hard-to-fit spectrum.
