Exciting Names for Nail Salons

Before lockdown, my sister got a nail technician certification and was about to start working in a nail salon, but pandemic didn't allow her. Now, she is willing to open her own nail salon and going to start it as a brand with few follow friends.

For a proper nail salon, she would need all licensing; that's why she is willing to start it with social media presence. Like the videos which are being posted on DIY pages etc. At first, we are looking for nail salon names. Do you think the word of the nail should be common or manicure etc?

I also found some great ideas from here like bossy nails, Poss Nails Spa etc. but need to go with a unique and trendy name.

You can also suggest modified nail salon names after having some ideas from the above ones. Actually, we willing to avoid copyright and DBA issues.

Has she given much thought to branding or marketing that brand? Is there a particular demographic she's trying to attract? I would start there to narrow down names. A salon named "Elite Nails" will likely draw a different client than "Nailed It", I think.

The entire family is helping her. She is willing to engage the European audience. UK, Canada, US and Australia is our top priority. I agree with Elite Nails and Nailed It would give different effects.

I noticed already brands are attracting ladies, and we want to engage teen girls. So, it would be great if it involves teen or even ladies in their thirties. However, she has a different mindset. According to her, teen girls could be good in viewership but ladies could be potential clients because they are more independent and have money to pay the nail art costs.

Yes, it is a point that I didn't consider that for local service why we are targeting a global audience. But, if I see competitors on the social media that they have a versatile audience.

Nail Salon would be about manicure, pedicure, cut and file, gel, acrylic overlay,

acrylic extensions, refilling etc.

Is she planning to travel to do these services? Or, open locations in multiple areas? To Rachy's point.

If you want a vibe that would apply across the brand, think about the idea customer:

Party girls: Nailtinis

Upscale: Madison Avenue Nails

Relaxed and Beachy: Island Nails

Fierce: Raptor Claws (I am joking about this one, but you see where I'm going)

Generic names would be tough to build a brand on.

It’s difficult to think of names even with all those suggestions. I quite liked Manicure Addiction or similar, or Classy Nails, from those lists. But the trouble wth the word manicure is that it may be too restrictive- although I guess everyone would know you did pedicures as well?
Appealing to teenagers... OK if she tries to appeal to slightly older than that also, since teenagers may not have as much discretionary income. So I wouldn’t do, say, Barbie Nails for that reason.
