For a while I've been thinking that I bought more fun clothes when living in London some years ago. After moving back to my hometown, a medium-sized town in Sweden, and starting to work, my clothes became more sensible. I have and still enjoy them, but one thing that's been nagging is that I always have in the back of my head that I want clothes that don't accentuate my tummy. And now I've come to the point where I'm fed up with that being my main focus when shopping, combined with an ambition to find more fun clothes again! I still want to feel put together, but I want to challenge my own idea of what type of clothes I "can" wear. (In line with Angie's post on "Beyond body type dressing rules" I'm looking for some creativity while still focusing on looks that I still feel good about https://youlookfab.com/2012/05/21/beyond-body-type-dressing-rules/)

Two items that I have recently purchased (on sale!) are these pants that mainly in terms of the model but also colour (mustard yellow pants!) would not have come home with me previously - and now I feel happy when I wear them! (The tummy issues I have are most visible from the side)

But, I need to shorten them, and since previously I've basically always wore full-length jeans I've never had to hem any pants.

So, I would love your help with which length works best!

The red ones I think could possibly work full length? But might be better hemmed..? Perhaps hemmed even more than now? What do you think?

The yellow ones I will definitely hem a bit, do you think it could be enough like this or might they be better shorter?

I've read Angie's very helpful post on "how to create a long leg line with cropped pants". I basically never wear heels, but I will have my tops tucked in these pants and will try to keep the contrast low on footwear.

#1 rusty red pants full-length

#2 rusty red pants hemmed a bit shorter (sorry that they're not even! With the baby at home I needed to be as quick as possible while he's content..! But hopefully you'll get an idea..!)

#4 mustard yellow pants full-length

What are your thoughts? (And, do you even like the pants?? ) I'd love to hear what you think! Even if that means hearing that you might not really like the pantst... I might keep them anyway but am very happy to get different inputs!

(I'll probably come back regarding how to style the rest of the outfit when wearing these pants, as it's a new look for me..!)
